It seems like humanity has done all there is to do. Wars at large are over (except for the last one, obviously)
Philosophy, art, and science are about to come to their natural conclusions (nihilism, postmodernism, standard model)
There's no land to discover and colonize, no mysteries to uncover, no new knowledge to obtain. Globalism will erase cultures and races. Resources are starting to run out. Etc.
We're at that part of Civ game where everyone is fucking bored and no longer wants to play
