EU had a bigger issue with Canadians and Faroe islanders quickly killing animals out of meat and tradition than Danes and others torturing pigs to death so some fatty may slam his face full with another bit of testosterone filled meat.
Really makes you think.

Denmark is a pretty decorated country when it comes to History.
They backed the Teutonic order during the Northern crusade and made an effort to make Scandinavia less pagan.
They established the Kalmar union witch pretty much united Scandinavia for the first time.
Their presence had a huge impact on Norway seeing that all the Norse speaking clergy had died during the black death and the Danish form of language (but with a heavy influence by local dialects) became the norm in both written and spoken until 1840.
The Union was uneasy as the Swedish regent Sten Sture and his peasant army rebelled against the Danes, and winning independence in 1471.
The war left Denmark with Norway, Iceland and the Faroe Islands and some Swedish counties.
The Danes later won a war against Hanseatic-Swedes in 1502-1512 witch made the Swedes more dependent on Denmark until Gustav Vasa (Gustav I) rebelled and won a final war of independence (1521-23), which removed all Danish claims in Sweden and pretty much dissolved the Kalmar union.
They would regain face and a fort in the Kalmar war of 1611-1613 but would never have control over Sweden again.
The Danes were hit hard in the Reformation witch caused a Civil war between the Pro-Catholic counties led by Christian II and Lutheran Christian III
Christian II lost the Count's Feud/Counts war and died in prison. Lutheranism has been the official religion ever since.
Denmark went on to be a player during the 30 years war.
Fighting the Hapsburg's in 1625–1629 then returning to the fight in 1643 on the side of the Hapsburg's.
As the 1700's rolled inn the Danes managed to snatch up some trading posts and colonies in the Caribbean as well as today's Ghana and India.
They kept fighting with the Swedes (too many to go into) and following their defeat in the Napoleonic war had to say goodbye to Norway in 1814.
Later they would butt heads with the first German confederation (1848-1852) and later Bismark (1864) over Schweig-holstein.
