His meth "addiction" is more of a meme than history. His quack doctor perscribed only a moderate dose, and I'm not sure it was consistently given to him over the years. What did fuck him up was the 15 other medications, most of them bullshit and harmful, commanding a stressful war he had started and was losing, the reality of his Parkinson's/Palsy setting in, and being a Borderline Personality on top of all of it.
