Just read about ego-death. There's a bunch of different ways to induce it. But this all depends on what you mean by escaping your ego. Ego-death can suppress your distinction of yourself as an individual, but you'll still ultimately be stuck at the same terminal with which you interact with reality; you'll just be doing it from a radically different frame of mind.
