Everything comes from God; this idea is not exclusive to Abrahamic religions. Everything else that comes from God is like God, but is not Almighty.

God isn't sitting up on a chair somewhere in the sky. God is with us inside of ourselves, because we too come from God.

So worship anything before God is to seek salvation outside of yourself and God. God is first. The idols of the modern day are not just "gods"; the idols of today are brands, celebrities, sometimes even people. People might believe in One God, Allah, Adonai, Christ, Shiva, Vishnu, Monad, however you found God and God revealed Himself/Itself to yourself; but to put something before God, a person, a thing, another god, a place, whatever; we put something temporary before something eternal. Even our own work we pride ourselves in can be an idol of the modern age.

Humans aren't perfect and are the slaves of their passions and they will burn in Hell, but God's people on the other hand must be and is perfect. Anyway, if islam was God's religion it would not be on the same level than paganism or atheism .
