What would have happened if the Treaty of Versailles wasn't so tough on Germany?

The issue with the Treaty of Versailles was not that it was too harsh but that it went unenforced by the UK, Us and France.

Are you kidding? Winners had all opportunities to create military bases, or break Germany into many regions. But they were sure that robbery (reparations) were enough to keep Germany weak.

They didn't. Everyone was fuck exhausted.
Look at what happened in Turkey and Russia and see how much Europeans still like fighting past 1918

But Germany stopped paying reparations in the late 20's. And besides, a large chunk of the reparations were just for show - they were never intended to be paid.

Well. There werent any "allies" in 1930. France started to help bavarian and other catholic separatists, Britain - unionists (Hitler and other nazi).
I read that one of the problems with the Treaty of Versailles was that the different committees who worked on different aspects of what would ultimately become the treaty weren't in communication with each other, and those committees drafted the terms under the understanding that they were creating kind of a rough draft that was open to negotiation, but when the treaty was put altogether Germany didn't/wasnt able to negotiate the terms, meaning the treaty was more punitive than many of the authors intended.

It's very dishonest to use this and you know it. Wilhelm II and the Germans were nowhere near as great or terrible as Napoleon.
>treaty of Frankfurt
France was rattling its saber over the rhine for too long and the strip of territory taken was a simple security measure. Though Bismarck was right about it being more dangerous than it was worth and that Germany would have been fine without it.

I see people here saying Versailles wasn't harsh all the time, but I think you are completely missing the point. The harsh thing was the part where the Allies put the whole blame for the war on Germany. Europeans back then still had pride and the Germans, who fought the wohle war standing in enemy territory, just couldn't accept a total loss and the shit they were getting from the Entente. The osmanic empire and austro Hungary were considered "sick" for decades, while the German empire had witnessed a astonishing boom comparable just with the recent boom of China.
France after Napoleon was treated with way more respect and it turned out well while Versailles led to the second world war and half of europe under socialist suppression.
