Is purposely shopping at a locally owned business instead of a corporately owned chain leftist or rightist?

Its centrist
viewing the world in terms of left or right is very detrimental way of thinking.
>>1867553
Authoritarian or libertarian?
>>1867561
I mostly just asking this for debate
>>1867541
Neither. Not all decisions fall on a political spectrum.
It's "liberal" in American colloquial terms which isn't even really leftist.
Leftist would be only shopping at worker owned cooperatives.
You see, right wingers typically define left wing as meaning more government intervention in the economy.
Left wingers typically define the left wing as meaning decreased tendency toward hierarchy, and a more egalitarian worldview.
So by a right wing definition, that decision would be neither left wing nor right wing, because it involves a private individual choosing between private corporations.
A left wing definition would posit that that decision is a left wing act, because a private corporation is still a form of hierarchy.

well its neither anyways, its more like oligarchy vs laissez faire
test
>>1867562
Authoritarian, clearly.

>Leftist would be only shopping at worker owned cooperatives.
Do those exist?

why dont you try growing out of your gay LARPing bullshit?

Yes, they do, in limited numbers.
Also supporting large "family owned" businesses is rightist, as you show support for the private ownership of large amounts of capital. There's nothing inherently good about "family owned" except that they have the potential to be kinder to their workers. They can be just as crooked, and lobby just as much as publicly offered corporate companies. The thing about corporations is they must always chase the bottom line for be held at fault by shareholders who only care about profits. "Family owned" also lets companies push "religious values" and such, something that wouldn't be nearly as tolerated in a soulless corporation.
Supporting small mom and pop businesses can be either. People fail to realize, for the common prole, left or right, their ideal utopia is one where the little guy gets his due. They debate about what this due is, to whom it is owed, and if it is owed, and what means to accomplish it.
For example, a leftist may think the markets should be regulated until they are competitive. A rightist may think you shouldn't intervene in the markets like that, and it's up to individuals to vote with their dollar.

>Falling for the left vs right meme
No, that's an example of localism, which is the opposite of globalism. Thanks to globalism, the left-right dichotomy has stopped having any meaning whatsoever. The 21st century will replace left and right with global and local

It may well be Christian if you're applying it as a preferential option for the poor.
