What is England's independence day? The day when they finally cast off the cruel yoke of Roman oppression and occupation, and became a free peoples? And how is it celebrated?
England wasn't formed until about 300 years after the Romans left.

>how is it celebrated
On a large scale, it isn't.
Most of England don't take a sense of pride or value in their history beyond the stormweenies who believe the English are some incredible race of people who have persisted against the odds since the dawn of man, instead of the result of being a melting pot of celtic cultures who then got cucked by Romans who then got cucked back and eventually everyone got cucked by some French alpha who decided that he wanted to have more shit to rule.
Said French alphas then became further mixed with what was left of the original residents and then further mixed with bog dwellers in Ireland, silly hat-wearing welsh and "please let us have a future" Scots.
Hundreds of years later England is one of the most racially and culturally diverse nations on the planet, it stays that way for few decades and then all of a sudden an idea appears that "English People" are superior to the rest of the world because of what "they" have accomplished, despite the fact that England-or Britain-as a nation took on such different forms during its various exploits that it's borderline fantasy to call England one entity from start to finish.
Brexit is now what people think when they think of "England's independence day" as all the liberals smugly giggle about "ha ha england and independence ha h aha hahaa they had slaves!!! buy my mixtape" and in the end Britain is just America-lite with shit weather and sillier hats, as is the rest of the first world.
So, yeah, OP. Brexit is England's "independence" day.
