If he was such a renowned battlemaster and strategist of his time, why didn't his own citystate of Wu win over the Warring States instead of Chi?
Pic related.

Typo there, I meant to say Ch'in, not Chi.
Mush like Mickey Mouse, he isn't famous for being good, just being first.

Wasn't prepared to deal with other people's master plans.

1) It was a kingdom, not a city states. Chinks don't do city states.
2) Sun Tzu's time happened way earlier than the late warring states period. Meaning he was long dead when King Yinzheng was born.
3) According to legend, Wu did admirably versus the larger Chu state under Sun Tzu's tenure as field marshal for the Wu kingdom
And then he died, a bevy of bad kings, then Chu finally succeeded in conquering Wu.

Well it's pic related b/c he's a chink from China. I didn't have any other pictures of chinamen.
>why are you using Wade-Giles?
Because I prefer the more romanticized version of Chinese.

I see, that actually puts things in perspective tbqh.

Who are these other masterplanners that could outmaster the master?

>they were kangdoms, not citystates
Not really good with chink history, I just know about Sun Tzu and the Warring States period. But thinks for correcting me.
>Sun Tzu's time happened way earlier than the late warring states period. Meaning he was long dead when King Yinzheng was born.
I see. So he couldn't have prevented his kangdom from falling even if he wanted to, cuz he was ded.
>According to legend, Wu did admirably versus the larger Chu state under Sun Tzu's tenure as field marshal for the Wu kingdom.
Okay, all of this makes sense. But was there somebody who could match the Battlemaster's skills?
>And then he died, a bevy of bad kings, then Chu finally succeeded in conquering Wu.
How could Chu defeat Wu if Wu was better? Was it just bad leadership on the kangs' part?
