And Pennsic isn't SCA anymore, and hasn't been for a long time. Its "Cooper's lake presents: PENNSIC feat: The SCA". We run a lot, but there is no SCA standards.

Also, the variance of local group standards is something to be aware. My local three are considered the best in our region, but I just got back from War Of the Wings, and it blew choads.

QLD, Australia. We have the biggest medieval festival in the southern hemisphere, which is great, but the component groups are pretty meh compared to those in the USA. The food is a let down too. Just regular food stalls, though there are two 13thC banquets which are very worthwhile.
And the local-ish SCA groups are just too small or disinterested to really do anything.
