Middle East, post-WWII to present. There were countries using BF-109s next to Shermans, old Renault FTs, and traditional muskets all at the asme time. Also so many foreign actors and factions too. It's a pity that it's too politically charged thanks to the Israel business for a commercially successful game.

The fall of the Safavid and Afsharid dynasties would make for a great Dynasty/Samurai Warriors-like game, but nobody gives a shit or knows about the period.

Because the vidya industry is full of uninteresting overdone settings and doesn't seem to want to change. I think about this a lot.
