What do you guys think of the Taborites, Orebites, Ultraquists and all the other Czech/Bohemian followers of Jan Hus and John Wycliff?
Personally i think the Hussite wars were GOAT, Jon Zizka is b e t t e r than any protestant general (Besides Gustavus Adolphus, blessed be his name) and Adamists have nothing, NOTHING to do with Hus's teachings. They got what they deserved.

He didn't lose a single battle in his entire career, which makes him better by default.
Have a dump of Hussite war wagens!
Personally i am irked by the usage of longbows by the Hussites. But if it worked for the angles, it would work for the Wagenburgs!
Here is Jon Zizka. Probably on his march from the siege of Nekmir, right before his famed first usage of war wagons.
Now the Hussites under Zizka and Prokop were mainly peasants who either armed themselves from the armories of recently besieged towns or from their recently converted Royal lords.
Here is a link to an osprey about the Hussite wagenberg;

Thanks, man. The Hussites ran a real clinic on the crusaders, it just got progressively more embarrassing as time went on. Eventually all it took was a song.

This song to be exact!

I like to play both at the same time.
bemp for hussites
This song isn't about the Husseites but still related as it's about the ((Unfortunlately not as succesfull)) German Peasant's war.

Here is the battle of Vitkov Hill from the film Jan Zizka, made in 1955 . Not the most historically correct as it has Jon Zizka in the fort whiplashing crusaders to death from several meters away but its probably the closest to a professional production of the Hussite wars ever made.
Goodnight yall! Many comfy nights in wagenburts to ya!
The Hussite wars were historically interesting and don't get nearly enough attention paid to them.
Also Zizka was basically Big Boss.

A weapon to surpass Wagen Burg...

desu growing up in Czechia
when I was young we got indoctrinated as fuck about Hussites
Like we had dudes in hussite armors show us what this and that and how should we Czechs
be proud of buttfucking the Empire and all..
but in all honesty all it did was wake a bit of aversion for the Hussites.
Fucking proto-commies. They are probably responsible for Czechs being so atheist too.
>>1805259
between Taborites there actually functioned some sort of communistic society..
As in: What belongs to you, belongs to everyone else.
And people just took what they needed.
>>1805259
Nope, the forcible re-Catholization of Bohemia after the Battle of White Mountain is the culprit. It deeply ingrained in Czechs that religion is a tool of their enemies.

you guys hyped for kingdom come deliverace?
i know its nont hussites but i suspect there will be foreshadowing or the historical buildup anyway
Bumb for the resistance against the pope.
>>1805376
I really hope the sequal has hussites or some DLC.
Cant have Wenceslas and Sigismund's story without a little Hussite-Wycliff insanity.
>>1805259
I understand the Taborites were like how >>1805326 states it but im wondering what made the Orebites/Orphans different from the Taborites? Also does anyone have a book on the theological differences between each Hussite Faction?
Also Good news! On the RTS front Hussites are confirmed for Total War:Attila Mod 1212ad
>http://www.moddb.com/mods/medieval-kingdoms-total-war-attila-version/news/medieval-kingdoms-total-war-kingdom-of-bohemia-hussite-sub-roster

>1212ad
>Hussites
ayy
almost as funny as battle wagons in the 30 years war mod for M2
>>1807374
Its suppose to start at 1212ad and end sometime around the late 15th Century.
Taborite=Communist?
>>1805373
Man, that looks like it'd be really fun to be an extra in.
>>1805257
That stands to reason and I suspect similar happens in other countries with big parts of their national history. But here in Canada, we didn't hear fuck-all about them, and in the Anglo world, the Hundred Years Wars get focused on more, despite the Hussite wars being equally important from a standpoint of military history.
