Post your fave aesthetic weapons...

I absolutely love flame-bladed swords.
>>1800829
Now that is a pretty weapon.
I love how minimalist it is with its fanciness. Nothing gaudy, just a big, fuck off gemstone as a pommel.
>>1800823
looks like the same knife with which the turks cut their kebabs here in germany
>>1800857
They look like bionicle weapons
>>1800816
I personally love the Chinese/East Asian Aesthetic of using sharkskin on weapon fittings.
There's something pleasing about the primal brutality of a spiked club.
>>1800874
Also Tibetan versions of Chinese weapons. Like this Dam (Dao)
>>1800884
That looks sci-fi.
Something about the rounded shape where the guard might be
>>1800874
Always liked that look too but had no idea it was shark skin.
>>1801027
Either Sharkskin or Rayskin.
Also a luxury item. Most weapons in East Asia just used lacquered wood & leather grip binding combo.
Pic related. Korean Hwando with said material on the grip/sheathe.
I just love the simple, yet highly refined aesthetic on this piece. The designer may have place a little too much emphasis on form over function, but nevertheless this one is an eyecatcher.
And how could any small arms enthusiast forget the triple barreled Webley revolver? Think 1968 Camaro... but three of them stacked on top of eachother. Really makes you want to pull down your pants and just shove this little beauty right up your ass.

Bionicle was partly inspired by Maori culture
>>1801175
Down to the names. There was a controversy and they had to change loads of them.
Katar with 2 flintlocks attached on the side.

Are Africans Uruk-Hai?
>>1800816
Although it's more of a tool, machetes are pretty good looking.
>>1801247
That's the most mall ninja weapon I've ever seen!
>>1801301
More like filthy Mordor orcs

South East Asian weapons are pretty fucking based

Yeah, as I understand it, having cool and odd weapons was a sign of nobility in India. There are tons of really weird weapons coming from the subcontinent, though I'm not convinced that they were all used. Some, like this bagh nakh were actually used though. This was used by a famous Indian ruler to kill an enemy general.

Now the ancestors of the eternal Anglo... they had some aesthetic swords

You got options

I thought it looked cool.
Do I have autism?

1) Back to /pol/
2) If they hadn't been labeled, I'm sure you woulda thought they were Asian or Mongol, if you'd been told so, and been none the wiser.
3) Some of those are actually pretty friggen awesome....
>>1801353
Not at all, they do look aesthetic. You're in the right thread

Shagreen is not necessarily shark/ray skin. It also applies to leather left untanned to achieve the shagreen effect.
But what the Chinese and other Asians did use was sharkskin/rayskin. Largely because Shagreen in Chinese characters is
鲨鱼皮 (Shayu Pi), meaning "Shark Leather." Not to mention they prefer it since shark/ray skin is very grippy like sand paper.

Moro Kris

Not /pol/ here, it's not because they are black or their race... just how they act. Look at their "attire". No organization, rag tag weapons, all ready to fight. Looks like orcs to me.
If what was labeled?
And some are especially terrifying. Not who I want ethnically cleansing my Tutsi neighborhood
Irish Sparth Axes are quite cool
Supposedly the engravings on the axes indicated that the wielder was a commander

Orcs in the book were actually quite well organised, similar to the Uruk-hai in the films.
If I recall, they also had some of the best weaponry, because orcs were supposed to be excellent at crafting things designed for killing and destruction.

>simply making african jokes now makes you a neo-nazi
I hate this fucking board.
If you're interested in African weapons then perhaps this map will wet your whistle
>>1801414
I think of orcs as having efficient but crude, mass-produced arms. Unlike the muh craftsmanship of elf and dwarf smiths who spend a century forging the most artistic weapon, orcs just stamp that shit out on a conveyor belt en masse.
>>1801434
Thank you very much. If you have anything similar I'd be equally obliged.
>>1801449
Oh yeah, I imagine it very industrious. No masterwork forging. I just don't imagine it looking patchwork, shoddy maybe, but still decently put together.
