I'm currently trying to do a bit of light research on how the fifferent uniforms of WW1 looked, and I've come across a problem, the "average" uniform of the Austria-Hungarian empire seems to be a bit hard to find on google. So how did it look? Also, how did the uniforms of the minor parties like Italy and so on look?
The British, American, French and German uniforms are all easy to find, of course, I'll include a few pictures to get the thread going shortly.
I'll start with 'murican uniforms since I know there's many of you here

Here's the British uniform, probably near the start of the war since they don't have helmets

A Frenchman in their quite beautiful but probably impractical blue uniform
According to the caption this is a German soldier from 1916 after they've introduced the more modern helmet, looks strikingly similar to his WW2 couinterpart

Those hats should have at least stayed a part of the dress uniform. It gives me some real Indiana Jones comfy vibes.

Slap a coat of green and you got yourself an Italian uniform.

The Austria-Hungarian uniform seems to be very similar to the French one.

Well you can say that to us most uniforms of WWI seem very similar to one another. The people of those times would probably see them as being very different.
People in the future might say the uniforms of today were similar to, even thought we can tell the difference.
Just go to /tg/ and historical wargames thread, check the links and download the Osprey books about the subject

It is.
The WW1 helmet is much larger in size, the particular one yous ee in the picture seems to be a M16 type helmet.
