This appears to be the extremely unfortunate functional equivalent of a seal of my town.
Is it common for a seal to have a year on it commemorating an anniversary? It seems a little ridiculous. Like the sleeve patch a baseball team might wear in its 50th season.

Fucking hideous.

This is an excerpt from an email I just sent to the town.
>Also, the image at the top of this page (and the profile picture on the town's Facebook page) seems to be some attempt at a town seal. I have so many questions about it. Who made this and under the influence of what drugs? Why does it depict Blooming Grove as some kind of old west desert wasteland? Why is it a bicentennial logo and not an actual seal? Shouldn't this have been used for only one year and then discontinued? Why is a logo from 17 years ago still being used as if it's current? I can't think of anything else calling itself a town seal that commemorates a long-since-passed anniversary. It doesn't seem like there's any real reason that the year 1999 should be immortalized on the seal. Please tell me there are some kind of plans in place to design a town seal and get public feedback.

Whoever designed the 'stainless banner' was a retard.
