The voluntary or forced recruitment of Eastern workers in the occupied territories of the Soviet Union was the result of the tremendous needs of German defense industry workers, which was considerably enhanced by the allied terrorist bombing campaign against German civilians. The war from 1943 onwards would no longer be managed without the Eastern workers. The recruitment drive for these workers had nothing to do with an "extermination policy", because it urgently needed these people for labour critical to the german war effort.
German economic aid for the occupied eastern territories amounted to over 3 billion reichsmarks in the years 1941 to 1943, accounted for 1% of the German GDP in those years. It is assumed that the German Empire in the occupied Eastern Territories economically invested much more into it as it has brought out in terms of resources and labour.

During the war, Polish govt in exile never thought about getting anything except the Polish-speaking areas in Silesia and Masuria. Aside from that, Poland was uninterested. Instead Poland was interested in getting massive reparations for the damage wrecked by Germany.

Interwar Poland was cool with Germany. There was tension during the 1920s, but Poland was more concerned about the USSR (since that's whom it fought in the last war) and Pilsudski had no problem with the Nazis because he assumed they would purge all the Prussian conservatives who at the time were the main source of German butthurt over Polish independence.

Relations actually improved after Hitler came to power and the two countries signed a non-aggression treaty in 1934.

Hitler did also invite Poland to the Anti-Comintern Pact in late 1938, but the Poles refused as they chose to align themselves with France instead.

It's impossible to say if the German offer of alliance was genuine or if Hitler intended to stab Poland in the back in a mini-Barbarossa at a later date, but it does raise some interesting questions. The Axis would probably have lost the war anyway, so while Poland may have been better off in the short term, in the long term they would've ended up like Hungary or Romania. Not to mention having to carry the shame of being associated with the Holocaust as collaborators.

Exactly this. Most other Germans like the Bavarians or the Saxons had no hatred towards Poles and were even allied at certain points in history. It was the Austrians and especially the Prussians who ruined the relation between the German people and the Poles.

Prussian junkers didn't even care about the actual fate of ordinary Germans in the east but only about their mansions and their large properties, many of whom were originally Polish anyway.
