rome is an exact replica of "civilization" as we know it, thus every way modern society copies greece is the same way that the romans copied greece

You could always try to be original and argue that we got nothing from the Greeks. Early on, they maintained that they were stealing everything from the Egyptians. And modern society is actually more related to Roman society (which did rip off the Greeks, but again, they said they were rip-off artist, too).
