How did the first Pharaohs establish their Godlike status among men?

By naturally being charming, strong, confident, charismatic leaders?
It basically boiled down to everyone else being a bunch of dumb poor manlets. If you were a dumbfuck farmer and some dude adorned in gold a full head taller than you who came from fair away told you he was a god you'd believe him.

They wore silly hats and mans instinct towards obeying such figures kicked in.

This.
Imagine being a thin small whitey toiling in the sun and then a big black pharaoh passes you and you can't help but drop on the knees and worship his 30 inch dick.

EVERY FUCKING TIME
It's in a way the other way around. They were gods before being kings.
You can see that in African sacrificial kingship, and in all kinds of transitional stages. In tribes that practice human sacrifice, the sacrificial victim is identified to the god of the tribe. This usually comes with many privileges and exemptions from the usual taboos during the period of preparation for the sacrifice, and even an obligation to break those taboos, in reference to the mythology in which the god was originally killed for doing so. Ritual incest is a common example. In some cases, the sacrificial victim manages to turn his privileges into real political power, and extend the period of preparation into many years or rule. This is the case in many African tribes. And in some cases, he manages to eliminate the sacrifice entirely, or turn it into just a ritual upon natural death.
This is quite clearly the origin of Egyptian kingship, but it's more or less directly the origin of ever kingship.

This is such obvious bait but knowing /his/ arguing over this will take up half the thread
