Do you think there is any real merit in learning Manx? My uncle is fluent in the thing and has been talking about spreading his knowledge down through the generations, but no one is obliging him. I have something of a knack for language, but nothing Celtic.
So, should I take my uncle up on his offer on learning Manx?

I was thinking about learning Sanskrit in the spring and I imagine I wouldn't be able to if I had Manx in my head. Do you think it's better to learn than Sanskrit?

Does he have a Manx cat?
There is value in the know your enemy sense. If you encounter Marxists and know their patterns you can wreck them like any vidja boss

I'd definitely go for it anon. Never hurts to know another language, and Celtic languages are gaining popularity right now so you never know when it might come in handy.
