The economy was already recovering under the Weimar government, and Hitler actually slowed it down by deposing/assassinating key political figures behind the recovery. His administration was responsible only for dragging Germany into an economic situation that was completely unsustainable without warfare, and by the time they invaded Poland they were seeing shortages on food and commercial goods.
