People usually try to claim I'm lying because they don't have the facts to actually debate the issues. Or they're mildly impressed.

Last year I made friends with a history major (I'm studying Econ). He was really impressed by me. I also got in an argument with his friend about the merits of Frederick the Great.

I find that it only helps with girls the way any specialized knowledge does. If they're also interested it's good for conversation, otherwise just share trivia that interests them.

I find it most useful for analyzing literature honestly.

My gf treats me like wikipedia, doesn't understand that I actually only study things I'm interested to.
I don't really reveal my powerlevel to others, people treat me weird when they know they can be called out if they bullshit and it's a fucking hassle.
I just use my knowledge in the most abusive way to fuel my arguments without really enriching discussions unless I'm with people who are genuinely interested (aka once every pope's death).
