Judaism, Christianity and Islam have all the same messages as Egyptian religion, Paganism, etc. It is the people who use religion to gain authority over other, corrupting the truth about each religion. It is all the same, but you must research this yourself. There is no true religion, but there are true laws that operate the Universe.

Indeed the christian religion spread pretty fast amongst the Roman Empire. It must have been seen as a new freshness in a Rome already on the decline, facing population problems as the empire had incorporated very foreign countries.

It is like all the religions in the world are friends who like doing the same thing every weekend, but all like different drinks. However, all of the religions drink this metaphorical beverage. You don't have to believe in God or a need for God, that is up to you. God proves Himself to those who actually are interested in Him, that nothing is separate from Him, and that knowledge that is true in all fields is more important that dogmatic "knowledge" led by years of indoctrination.
Science tells us the same thing over and over again, as does the US. They tell us to blindly believe everything they tell is truth. It is exactly how secular humanism views religion, blind faith.

You have blind faith in the US or Science? The US will cover up information, and indoctrinate you their version of US History at a very young age where your subconscious mind is more receptive to believe whatever information it is fed. Add this and cartoons and years of TV, you have essentially programmed a person into believing what is on TV is how we should live, and believe in textbooks blindly, because it is called "objective truth" when in reality, Science changes it's standards all the time and comes to new conclusions on the same topics all the time, having no definite truth.

Judaism didn't bring a new god or a new book. both the stories of the OT and Yahweh had polytheistic predecessors. religion just changes over time. weak monotheism was quite common in the roman empire. judaism and christianity following from it just happened to be the monotheism that developed to be intolerant of the worship of other non-true gods

I've heard that the driving force was the lack of spirituality in the Roman pagan pantheon. The Romans saw their deities as, at most, super-powerful humans. H.G.Wells, in his History of the Modern World, even claims that some of the more spiritual members of the Roman Empire had begun to convert to Judaism, because they found it more spiritually satisfying. But, of course, the Jews weren't too happy about this, because they still saw their religion as a mark of ethnic identities. The Christians, on the other hand, had no such restrictions, and openly welcomed converts and proselytized.
