Nah, he said and did a lot of important stuff. Later people have said it better, or backed the idea he wrote with research and can claim it as 'theirs' now. He did say some weird sexual stuff, but don't knock it until you've taken Psych of sexuality.

People love to say Freud was "debunked" and psychoanalysis is stupid (which it is) but we still use his tripartite division of the self, we still use the idea of the "subconscious," we still think our early childhood experiences shape the rest of our lives, we still think we repress traumatic experience, these all come from Freud.
