I see no architecture thread. Lets fix that.
No matter how many times i see pics of St. Peter's Basilica i still think to myself. Holy Shit.

>be corrupt
>use indulgence money to build giant ass cathedral
>inadvertently create protestants for being corrupt
>hundreds of years later still worth it

I don't know why but for some reason whenever brutalist buildings are surrounded by greenery or are overgrown it just clicks with me.

Was this a level in Halo?
Can't go wrong with a little Boullee.

honesly most styles of architecture would be so, so much better if they incorporated more greenery. it makes so much of a difference on the mood and health of the people. humans are used to being surround by plants and landscape, not concrete and glass.

Fuckin aesthetic imo.
I enjoy the visibly weathered, simple design of frontier town architecture. Imo, it's due for some post-modernist revival.

I love it when things look dystopian as fuck.

Brutalism was influenced by the politically-charged, civil unrest of urbanite youth living during America and Europe's 60s and 70s. The architecture is made out of concrete because it's hard asf to break. They likely had visions of dystopia in their mind when they drew up the blue-prints for the building in your pic.
