The very first Christians tried it and failed miserably, so it wasn't really a model for us.
The very first puritans to set foot on what would become US soil also tried it, and it failed miserably.
So we tend to avoid things that fail miserably.

Most protestant countries didn't have the condition of misery, oligarchy and corruption necessary for radical parties(be it socialism, nazism, socialism or anarquism) to thrive

Social democracy is slow and steady progress towards socialism, rather than via revolution.
That is pretty much a part of social democratic philosophy.
>>1601958
That's democratic socialist. See UK circa 1955.
Scandinavian economies are some of the most free in the world. They are built on capitalism.
But the terms are confusing so whatever.
>>1601975
>They are built on capitalism.
Yes, but I think the principle is "you take your capitalist system and gradually implement socialist policy over time."
Because doing it all at once is asking for a clusterfuck.
>>1601982
The Scandinavian economies have been largely turning more and more capitalistic.
There is nothing socialist about the Nordic model. Only dumb Americans believe this.
>>1601982
So accelerationism?
>>1601411
No. Social democracy =/= democratic socialism. The former is basically welfare capitalism, the latter is just another commieshit but with elections instead of a revolution.
Because socialism is cancer.

Workers, instead of bosses, controlling industry

Also, socialism took off in Germany.

It was successful in Oklahoma in the early 1900's, with 984 chapters, the most of any state in 1912.
>Rather than embracing “true” communism and its abolition of private property, Oklahoman socialists advocated land redistribution so that farmers could conceivably own their own property instead of paying someone else rent, regardless of how their farms performed each year. They borrowed from Thomas Jefferson, lionizing the “yeoman farmer” in opposition to bankers, lawyers and other privileged classes. In such terms, socialism sounded less like a foreign ideology borne from a German political economist and more like the continuation of the United States’ own Founding Fathers. Additionally, Oklahoman socialists invoked Jesus Christ and the Bible, giving their strain of the socialist movement a “Christian socialist” character. With Jesus’ identification with the poor, sick and oppressed, it has never been a hard case to make in any Christian society that Jesus was on the side of the plebeians against the patricians, and the Oklahoman socialists made that case well. Although God is often cited in today’s political rhetoric against extending civil rights to homosexuals or giving women the right to choose, in the past God often featured heavily in the speeches and pamphlets of left-wing radicals who utilized the compassion and charity in the Christian tradition rather than its intolerance and hatred. It seems doubtful that socialism would have bloomed bright red in Oklahoma had it not changed to fit the local political and cultural language. In many other places, socialism tried to change that language to suit its own needs, and often died on the vine as a result.

Seriously, it's just a coincidence. There are fewer protestant countries, so there are simply fewer opportunities. And you could argue that socialism had quite a foothold in Britain and Germany at one point.
But it did, massively, in Munster under the Anabaptists.
