>le no true communism
This literally means commies are so fucking inept they can't get it right a century and a half later

those were not commies

This.
Communism was the stated goal of socialist nations. A communist society is one where automation has advanced enough that every has every material, tool or toy they require provided for them without the need for anyone's labor.
We might be able to try it for the first time at some point in the future, but we haven't yet.

It certainly won't be a purely socialist economy that gets us there though.

>THOSE WEREN'T REALCOMMIST COUNTRIES!!!!111!!!
Typical Commie
Communism as theorized by Marx isn't something that can be tried. It's the predicted natural end of Capitalism.
All iterations of the twentieth century were forced attempts to expedite that evolution but they weren't what Marx had theorized when he proposed of communism and the socialist state. Deviations from that theory have birth to several different ideologies such as Stalinism and Maoism but they aren't the same as Marxism.
Now whether Marx's theory is accurate or not, it's impossible to say for now. He's certainly made quite a number of predictions that turned out to happen but there were factors he couldn't even fathom. We're going to have to wait and see.

Because communism only failed because centrally planned economies are shit, and you're supposed to go from a well developed capitalist society to socialism.
Market socialism is good. It rewards people for the value of their labor. If you work hard, you earn more. No one is taking a cut out of your paycheck simply because they own. "To each according to his contribution"

No, it's just developed to the point where scarcity economies are not the determinant of the distribution of goods. It's not saying you don't have to make a contribution. It's like paying $12 for an all-you-can-eat buffet. There's enough food for everyone, and you eat as much as you want. The amount you eat as an individual is not proportional to the price you pay. Buffets and Netflix are communism.
