No, everyone in my church is given a fairly rigorous education in theology. We have tests for every grade students in theology, until university time and we take it seriously. Liturgy is Aramaic but everything else is our native language, and we don't really speak anything but those two, in the church premises. A kid who can't speak the native language in our culture is a total joke who's parents will probably leave the church anyways, and we are ok with that.

A question for all the orthodox Anons

It's more about the "administrative" stuff than the believes; so are orthodox churches actually "reserved clubs"? Can an external person (already orthodox or not) join another autocephalous church? Is it forbidden or just not suggested? Is the language a problem?
Now more personal: I'm living in Italy and I'm of both italian and serbian descent. I was never indroduced neither to orthodoxy or catholicism.
In the case I would want to join tye orthodox church, should I go to the serbian church or to the ecumenical one (the italian branch)? Ir should I go to the more easy to attend (in tye city where I study there is only a romanain church)?

Well, for starters, Paul is unfamiliar with the Masoretic text and reads the Septuagint. 1 Corinthians 15:54 (He uses the "swallowed up in victory", instead of "swallowed up forever" reading)

Secondly, you've got the beginning of Acts 9, with Saul going to Damascus on the High Priest's authority to drag people back to Jersualem to try them as heretics.

You pack a lot of problems into three verses. Saul's supposedly a Pharisee (Phillipians 3:5), so it's not clear why he would be acting under the instructions of a Sadducee High Priest (Acts 5:17) especially since they had no extant Jewish religious authority to try people. (Ḥag. ii. 2) In any case, it boggles the mind to suppose that the Romans would allow a Jewish official to be arresting people outside of Judea.

And concerning the Paschal lamb, Paul definitively equates it with remission of sin. (1 Corinthians 5:7). The problem is that you have 0 Jewish sources saying that Passover had anything to do with atonement, which was primarily dealt with in a different holiday altogether. Hell, you don't even use lambs as sin-offerings in Judaism. For individual sins, the offering is a bull (Leviticus 4:3) and for such occasions that you do bring a lamb, it's supposed to be female (Leviticus 4:32)

And NOWHERE in Paul's writings does he evince knowledge of any of this. He's supposedly Gamaliel's student, but he can't even demonstrate Judaism 101 in his musings on how the OT melds into the new message.
