Inca, Mesopotamia and Ancient Egypt are all exemples of "egalitarian" societies, but they were pretty much slave states with a "more equal than others" elite class ruling everything.
Even the group called the Conspiracy of Equals who appeared in France during the French Revolution and wanted "Equality or death", described the perfect society as being a bunch of people being forced to work, forced to eat, forced to sleep, and forced to listen to the heads of the group who, ironically, formed a closed group of ruling elites. Read it up.
Basically, I just want to say that the answer is no. No true egalitarian society has ever been created for the simple reason that it would crumble faster than a house of card.
