In what way does daoism condemn morally wrong actions? If it exalts spontaneity, being an asshole is part of my nature and i'm still part of the Dao why shouldn't i just rape babies or whatever?

Because daoism also promotes self control and abstinence as ways to master the self, and seeing how the self fits into the greater whole. You could be an asshole and a daoist or you could be a saint and a daoist. Daoism is just a lens to view the world through.

Also I should note that daoist saints are sometimes assholes and self-serving, sometimes unspooked, and sometimes completely spooked. The virtue of daoism lies in it's ability to grant perspective rather than dogma.

From what I understand Taoists believe believe traditional morality is on the right track but is ultimately shallow and arbitrary, they believe through becoming one with the Tao you can have a much deeper appreciation for people and life in general.
