Why is a 2 party state any better than a 1 party state?

It's not, a one party state gets things done while a two-party state stagnates and paves the WY for an eventual usurpation of power that becomes a one party state.
>>
>>1549535
It's not.

The entire political party concept is a scam, and should be outlawed.
>>
>>1549539
Sometimes a one party state gets things done. Usually a two party state doesn't get things done.
>>
>>1549535
So long as they actually are distinct entities then its better for all the usual reasons competition makes things better
>>
>>1549550
America has been a 2 party state for most of its existence and is objectively the wealthiest and most powerful political entity in world history.

>usually

An oligopoly isn't real competition.

Politicians are held to their promises, and are punished for changing their minds. A One-Party state is stuck with a bad idea for a generation, while a Two-Party one can alternate between bad ideas every election cycle.

Is pillarisation objectively the best system for subsidiarity of state franchise?

>>
>>1549535
The illusion of choice really helps keep everyone in line.
>>
>>1549535
there is not much more competition, but increased competition is good
>>
>>1549535
It allows for small points of policy difference to make their way into the system, even if other matters become consensus when they really shouldn't be.

Furthermore the theatre of the whole thing is far more useful at keeping people happy. If a one party state fucks up, you say "Fuck the state!", if a two party state fucks up you say "Fuck the party! I'll vote for the alternative!"

A 2 party state usually isn’t a 2 party state at all. It’s a state that allows any number of parties to exist but due to the political landscape 2 parties dominate the arena. With several fringe parties on the side.
A 1 party state is just dictatorship with a cloak of “democracy”.

So 2 > 1
>>
>>1549535
But America isn't a 2 party system, it's just that you Americans are so fucking retarded that you think you "waste" your vote if you vote for something other than the establishment parties.

I mean, you have only yourselves to blame tbqhfamalam.

Americans have truly mastered the art of oligarchy

Social media is arguably creating pillars organically via filter bubbles.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Filter_bubble
As society becomes more and more dependent on the Internet for social and political discourse, this effect will become more and more pronounced.
