The German/Czech movie Stalingrad from 1993, it's about the battle from a German perspective without demonizing or glorifying either side. It's also VERY historically accurate, the only inaccuracy is that they had to use T-34/85 because it's the only model they could find and they had a limited budget.

Very good movie. The attack on the factory is a great battle scene. Also the movie really starts to capture the sense of dread and hopelessness in the kessel after the encirclement.

Literally Michael Bay tier movie with a bunch of soviet propaganda. The 1993 movie showed intense fighting between 2 sides struggling to survive, had likeable characters, and did not mask the war crimes committed by both sides. The battles, equipment, and uniforms were accurate with a few minor exeptions and the movie captures a great feeling of dread and despair in the final act. The 2013 movie is a shitty love story about a bunch of slow-motion russian super soldiers mowing down baby-raping Nazis.
