Yes, even if we take Hitler at his word (HA!) and assume he didn't want war with the West, the Cold War against the USSR was ruinously expensive, god only knows how much it would cost to out-buy the Nazis had they won WW2.

It only a danger because of the huge gamble it took and now everything they stood for is considered "evil". Now that they lost, traditional capitalism and socialism/communism both run amok, western culture is more degenerate than ever as sort of a backlash from the jews, and to combat the low birth rates countries are "forced" to import third world degenerates who cause massive amounts of crime and problems in their new countries. Ethnonationalism is essentially outlawed in western countries so we're supposed to just suck it up and watch the world burn unfortunately

I'm remembering something like a diplomatic dispatch to Washington around the beginning of WW2 that went something along the lines of 'if hostile Fascist powers achieve European supremacy their capacity to isolate America and her commerce from the world would be enormous'

Not so immediate a threat that Britain and the US needed to go to war when they did. Hitler's territorial ambitions and ideological commitments would have led to war with the Soviets far sooner than it would have posed an existential threat to Britain or the US. The inevitable war between the Nazis and Soviets would have been costly enough to the victor that the Allies would arguably have had an easier time in that war then they did in the actual war. The Nazis were a threat to Western Civilization, but so were the Soviets. Choosing to support one over the other was wrong both practically and morally.
