Hey /his/torians. I'm going to get a tattoo in a month with my buddy. The current idea is "sic semper tyrannis" with an image of some kind. I was wondering if you guys had any ideas for any tattoos. I was going to do carpe diem but everybody has it. I was also think "from the day we are born we are all walking tither (towards death)" by Seneca. I'm thinking a quote or phrase to live by. Existential, ethical but a good thing to always keep in mind most likely tied in with mortality. Got any good quotes?

The doom of a nation can be averted only by a storm of flowing passion, but only those who are passionate themselves can arouse passion in others.

What do you think?
Quidquid latine dictum sit altum sonatur
whatever that is said in latin sounds deep
this seems like your understanding of a good tattoo. If you are going that way just get branded with every state seal. Why don't you just tattoo the phrase you live by instead of asking cool latin phrases?
Mortem times: at quomodo illam media boletatione contemnis!
tl;dr: Kill yourself

It is (allegedly) what the plotters shouted as they murder Julius Caesar.
Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD.
