If one has generally bad experiences with a certain race, isn't it a natural reaction to form a negative opinion towards said race?

Yes, as long as you give each individual the chance to show themselves to you. Like you could think that generally chinese people are rude from experience as long as when you meet a chinese person you dont immediately assume they are going to be rude and determine it after you know them a little.
