It is possible for men to display physical affection for one another without their being an implication of some illicit interest. I would argue that all touch has an element of sexuality to it, in so far as sex is a form of social bonding like touch, but that does not mean that everyone you do touch is a sexual object for you.
There was a time when it was possible for men to be close to one another in a way that is not any longer. This is regrettable, as it means men lose that capacity for social bonding that remains open to women, and must search out that bonding through other, more violent forms which subvert the real intention behind the action.

I think it's kind of unfortunate too. Men in the west can't even hug without fearing accusations of being gay.
In Muslim countries dudes are a lot more affectionate with each other.
It's as if the acknowledgement of homosexuality makes guys fear being accused of it
