my little pony's message is clear and simple, has a mostly female cast, and has nothing blatantly offensive about the artstyle if somebody likes cartoons

combine that with a mind that has been socially rejected in the larger world, and gather these minds together, then you have a community that will grow because the changing culture means acceptance of these retarded fandoms instead of outright condemning them mentally and physically.

what chance those social rejects had to live a normal life free of this undeniable shame slips away, and these "people" (I hesitate to consider them as such) continue on in a fantastical world that in some ways trump religion in sheer ridiculousness.
