Has any religion other than Christianity had a major conflict analogous to the European wars of religion? That is to say, a war fought between groups who practice the same religion over the fact that they have different interpretations of that religion?
Obviously it's happening in Islam right now

That is how the Sunni Shi'a split began after the death of the Prophet.

That's quite a cute way of interpreting those wars.

What I meant is that it is never because of that. Interest groups and power structures divide themselves into two camps and use religion as a reason to rally the masses. This happened during the Iconoclasts vs Iconophiles, the Catholics vs the Orthodox, the Catholics vs the Protestants and is happening now with Shia vs Sunni Muslims.
What's interesting is that it appears to still be an acceptable reason for which to go to war for many in the Muslim world today, whereas people in Europe (I have my doubts about America t bh) would laugh you out of the room if you suggested it.

There is really only one kind of war for muslims, and that is holy war, for a muslim, and war against a nation of infidels is a jihad, any war against a fellow Muslim is because they are kafirs.
there have been constant wars fought between the Shia and Sunni that go back to the decades after the death of the prophet.
There were even Sunnis who were more than happy to aid the Christians in the Crusades just to keep Jerusalem out of the Shia Fatimid hands.
The divided kingdoms of Israel and Judea also fought wars during antiquity, the result of which weakened the kingdoms enough for Babylonian and Assyrian conquest.
Really the only source for that is the bible though.
2nd Samuel Chapter 3 verse 1:
"There was a long war between the house of Saul and the house of David. And David grew stronger and stronger, while the house of Saul became weaker and weaker."

China has had a shit load of wars between its various cults and the state like the White Lotus rebellion.

Not really interreligious save for the Taiping Rebellion.
Yellow Turbans and White Lotus merely started out as religious groups that went "our problems are sourced to the dynasty! Overthrow him and replace him!" Which is bog standard and not based on interpretations of religion.
