What are people's opinions on Stoicism? Stoicism is a philosophy which believes that the only things we can control is is our reaction to things and the rest are external(Money, friends, situations, material things) which are outside are control and therefore should be indifferent to.
I think it's a very practical philosophy to dealing with the hardships of life but it's very sad that there's only about 3 major texts about it left, namely Marcus Aurelius' meditations, Epictetus' Discourses and Seneca's letters from a stoic.

It's also helped me somewhat but I live a really easy 1st world world life so I'm basically a little bitch whenever something comes up,despite my beliefs.
