Troglodyte just means a cave-dweller, humans were troglodytes for most of our history. As for crippling females, no, there is no culture that has ever done anything of the sort. Closest you get are the Chinese practice of foot-binding, that originated as a fashion rather than as a deliberate method to cripple, and the Islamic / Athenian prohibitions on female freedom of movement, wherein they were confined to the home by cultural pressure rather than physical impairment.

As for cannibalism, afaik only the Fijians practiced cannibalism as a main source of food.

I've heard that we actually spent little time in caves. The idea goes back to when the pickings for archaic man/neanderthal fossils were slim, and seemed to be relegated to caves. Only in time of hardship would a tribe move into cave, due to them being cold and dark as well as infested with large predators.
