In fact, it only works against opponents that are more mature and levelheaded than you, and even then only sometimes.

Try that against an ordinary street-level rapist? I doubt you are going to faze him with your top-notch resisting skills.
People who can make effective use of it are way too smart and resourceful to need to. Just sticking to punching, and if that does not work, try back-punching, and run away if it fails.
