How is epistemology not part of the humanities? I get that she's a sociologist and that it's debatable whether social sciences are humanities, but we have a lot of economics threads on this board, and that's definitely a quintessential social science.

But how is epistemology not philosophy? She's making a philosophical argument here. Also, you dodged the point about economics, which is all over this board, and Emile Durkheim and Max Weber, two preeminent sociologists, have been routinely referenced here.

This guy or guys are right. She is, well claims to be, a social scientist but she's talking about epistemology which is a philosophical concept. Regardless of how poor her argument is, it still has content that would be regarded as relevant to humanities.
