I'm new to history and I'm wondering where to start.
Im a poorfag so I can't buy many books, if you could also point me to any good website other than Wikipedia I'd really appreciate it.
Not sure if these threads are allowed so I'll delete it when I get a reasonable idea of where to start.

Reading about Roman Empire could be good idea for start. Especially because we have many historic sources from that era which for me are always better read than modern elaborations. Also when you are poorfag, like myself, why you dont consider buying ebook reader? Surely its great investition if you want study.

I wasnt talking about application but device like Kindle for example. Many books are free mostly from gutenberg project but you can also get stuff from other not so legal sources So books can be free and definitely most of them should be.
