Your ego will die with your mortal body anyway, but in theory you can choose to get rid of it before your body actually dies (referred to as ego death). Even though in this theory your ego doesn't actually exist - so it doesn't actually die because there's nothing there to die. So ego death means you lose a false idea of yourself and you wake up to who you really are. And no this is not for faggots.
