Quick quest, has the connotations of various facial expressions remained mostly the same for around the last 500 years or so?
If we were to analyse this picture using our interpretation, we would see a Voltaire, smug and sarcastic about the claims of the holiness, Roman-ness and imperial-ness of a certain political entity in Central Europe.
