There's no point in actual philosophers even publishing anymore since everybody is too self-absorbed for a decent philosophical work to gain traction across a broad readership. This is why Zizek is a famous intellectual today whereas in the 2000s you had Goedel and Quine and so on.

Everyone follows a philosophy, but not everyone forges their own path. Most are swept along the way of least resistance, be it hedonism or tradition.
