This is something I developed with the goal of fastening my hands & arms behind my back but without placing tension on the inner elbows.

The attached set-up gets around this problem. I haven't experienced numbness or loss of circulation in my hands using this set-up over long periods of time. You will need some kind of a fixed opening that can bear virtually all your weight. The attached image example uses a wall-mounted steel ring at shoulder height, but I've also succeeded in using a bed frame while either sitting (good way to hold in a plug) or on my knees.

After I discovered the trick with the 'orange' ring in the attached image, that made escape highly difficult. I could usually get out of it up until the point when I discovered that trick, since I could usually use one hand to loosen the cinch noose fastening around the other wrist/shoulder until I could wiggle out the other hand. But the orange ring made everything way too tight to undo in that manner. Hey, don't know if you will ever read this, but to use a second release, I would suggest an icelock instead of the grey, wall-mounted, ring. There are stainless-steel versions you can buy online that can easily support you, when fresh from the freezer.
