I started up HoneyStudio very briefly but I couldn't figure out how to get the image based lighting mod to work on it and closed it for the time being. I also have no clue what the heck BattleArena is but I have a feeling it has nothing to do with actually battling. Be naturally good at photography, if not you can only get ideas from others and implement your own carbon copy and experiment. Making webms requires you first record gameplay, if on Windows 10 Creators Update you only have a good enough free game capture (Win+G), make sure to set quality to High/Frames to 60. If not then you can use something like OPS and WebMForRetards.

You're a new player so I'd advise doing so for the time being, all you can really do is read the thread on Hongfire for it.

I've been doing amateur photography with game screen shots for quite a long time now, but whether I'm actually good or not is something I can't say for sure. I suppose I chose more words poorly because what I meant was in reference to the poses and animations people have in their shots and webms. I've always figured that people did these manually instead of choosing from static pre-created poses and animations. I know very little about all of this because I only finally became interested in downloading and playing around with this yesterday.

Custom poses (static not animated) are done in studio using the IK function to re-position arms and legs/head position etc.
In the old Studio the IK Plugin allowed some ability to make custom animations though limited, it does not work in Neo Studio.

You can indeed substitute a futa using the plugin to switch out male/female characters while keeping the animation active.

Look, if you want to see how others set up scenes, download the november nip scene db and take a look. You may not like their scenes but the camera angles and placement are pretty good.

Nope, they've always been heavily edited base animations. There is no 100% custom animating in this game.

There is no main game to the main game. You make a girl, you put her in a room, you fuck her. That's it. You don't even have an avatar nor is there any sort of in-game lobby to walk around in, you just choose the room from a list of rooms. This is why most stick with studio.

Most of his shit is pretty high quality, unfortunately he doesn't seem to know how to create a stand alone mod, so there is a lot of manual use of sb3ugs to get his shit working.

I post quite a bit here, and I posted a few scenes on the booru all using it. I don't fuck with the mod at all. Before when it was curves I did, now though with image based lighting I don't do anything I download the updates and forget about them, I don't have the lut enabled; nothing. I might fuck around a bit with the hsstudio lighting sliders, turn map lighting on and off, sometimes I use trilighting if I want it darker, but that's it, and thats not even a function of LRE. The bulk of the colour comes in just changing the default map light colour and then using the studio lighting and changing those colours as needed. Image base lighting works fine out of the box as well and is fun to fuck around with and is fucking incredible in VR with head tracking.

The main thing is the ex skin it's an awesome skin when lit so I can't go back to the old shiny perfect skin is all.


Anyway here's the bitch in the middle. It's exskin, the hair is from honey blog the extensions I guess and her nipples and pubic hair came from the recent experiments on rara.jp Clothes who fucking knows. If she works she works, if she doesn't oh well I gave the card I wash my hands of it.

It's why I don't generally share cards, and don't at all on the booru. I don't feel like giving technical support for them. I shared her above but I know the clothes won't work because I started using slot id way back initially and I basically can't install anything anymore without having to adjust id's even if I use default clothing.

She has a chest tattoo and a face tattoo, no idea where from and a skintex tattoo again, no clue. I download everything I can get my hands on from the rara boards cause shit just disappears, a lot of it is a test mod that never goes anywhere, like the nipple pack I use from last week, that is incredibly realistic and I'd like more of, those are on her to. The pubes are some .psd edit of ghchaos pubes someone did on those boards as well.

Course all of it is in japanese so trying to remember even what the mod is called is pointless. I hope she works for people, since I get asked quite a bit about that card, but I have my doubts.

Be cool to see her in someone elses scene though. Probably one of these pricks that say LRE is a waste of time will post her in some shitty looking scene though =/

Gosh i hate windows 7 sometimes, got a new SSD for my OS because it was showing signs of failure and the installation cd refused to install it to the new SSD, and turns out the way for it to agree to install was to unplug all other HDDs I have so its the only thing plugged in. >*bonus turn up your characters shine in studio and/or in the character creator.

Done. You have a very shiny character to the point where it lacks total detail.

Besides the DLC one there's the old custom made ones for old studio, there's also some clothing items and accessory's that look like tentacles but not on the scale of the DLC one, you just scale size and recolor them to look alright though.

You don't. You play the scene normally on a monitor then press M to send that particular stage of the animation to your VR headest, and that's it. You can't speed up or slow down while in VR mode, or even move your head closer since the only movement it tracks is rotation. It's just plain terrible.

Use the mod, and don't forget to download the fix for the audio bug in the "issues" tab of the github. The only downsides are that it's a bit awkward to get positioned perfectly, and the text is difficult to read.

Since the post SS in the folder you provided is my post, I'll assume that's my lut along with scene I shared that day?

I don't care but I just want to point out that I made that lut pre image base lighting additions and LRE updates that basically nullified the need for it.

This is an ss of that scene taken with base install LRE/IBL. Not touching the lighting settings that are saved to .png (hsstudio addon light settings tri light on etc.)

IBL has a base lut built into it, when you bring up the menu via f5 the tone mapping is the baked in Lut. It defaults to ances or whatever.

The lut I made included in that file is pretty much obsolete for studio if you're up to date on the two mods, but it can bring the base game lighting to studio brightness if you load it for that ( using the separate configs) IF you're going to make a custom lut for studio now you need to disable tone mapping in IBL otherwise you're using a lut on top of a lut and it just makes things difficult and introduces more artifacts in the skin when direct lighting is applied.

So last thread I posted a couple screens of the .png loading in studio. It'll place images in plugin/shortcutshsparty/textures . The mag and phone just take whatever pictures you want and size them to 512X512 and 390X698 respectively as .png. Load the item into Studio then follow the brief gif. I apologize for it's short length but I used gfycat cause I'm lazy. In the third window where I clicked select and the middle option those are the texture paths to the phone; if you select a different one it'll paint the texture elsewhere on the phone, on the window where you select your png to load there is a button at the top that clears all the textures on the item.

The floor is from Plasticminds Studio LRE items post on hf.

Everything else in that scene is from the honeymodblog, there is a shapes like cubes mod on there and it's all just stretched out shit It's nice for casting shadows with like the chair rail on the wall but it has no texture or anything. So I just replaced the walls with the default stone walls.

When you are applying several lights in a scene and aren't using default map lighting then you have to be considerate about which light you want to allow casting shadows or not. When you are adjusting your spot lights turn off shadow casting in the same window and set your scene that way, or conversely use map lighting and adjust shadow distance/length with the sliders and completely disable shadows on all your other lights, otherwise you end up with messy over lapping shadows.

OK so I just tried dropping in the VR mod without overwriting things. It doesn't work in Neo, but the old support seems to until I enable it by pressing M, which then results in a memory leak and crash again. I don't know what you mean by patched NEO, there is no patch. Unless you're talking about a VR mod or version I'm not aware of.

I don't press M to enable it I launch it from steam vr.

Also do you have the shortcuts mod enabled? if so make sure that M isn't bound to anything(I think it is) because I know there is some issues with the cum functions in that mod cycling forever. The best thing to do with that mod is going into modprefs and turn every single hotkey to false except for the gui and just use functions for that, why that guy felt the entire keyboard needed to be mapped and every time you forget toggle off the mod then you type something and enable 50 fucking things I'll never know.
