The second and third definitely is copying, but as others have stated in this and other threads, japanese artists copy each other all the time. I wouldn't say this is tracing (like some of Pija's works look like) and more like using the same poses that other artists have used. Tamagoro's versions look a lot better in my opinion.

I hate the word "Reference" because you can tell almost everyone using it means it in a different way. Either tracing, eyeballing or using it as a guideline but not making a copy or approximation. Most mean the first two, though the last one is the correct meaning.

Most artist worth their salt are able to draw from their mind because they study material. The others that do trace or copy do it because their lazy, need to meet a deadline, or their skill can't carry them without having a thousand different poses on hand.

The comparisons I see in this thread remind me of myself back when I was first disillusioned as I realized that Bobobo was copying Leopard. At first I lost respect and interest for his works. But as I occasionally checked back on him I began to realize that the similarities between the two began to blur, to the point where they became two distinct artists. Just look at him today - I doubt that anyone would think of comparing the two.
I expect the same to eventually happen (to be fair it already is, to an extent) to Pija as well. Him and others alike will be forced to grow out of it simply due to the fact that they can't perfectly imitate their idols even if they forced themselves to.

My point is that you can literally go through the same process for any artist (albeit the better the artist, the more influences you will have to track down - which will begin happening effortlessly as you get exposed to more of them). At that point you have to force yourself to suppress these thoughts if you wish to keep enjoying any form of art.
