By summarizing everything so simplistically you could also argue Kangoku Senkan has nothing more than simple/generic gangbangs. And we both know KS has far more to offer than that.

Personally, I feel TA is more brutal, while KS is more humiliating.

In TA1 a lot of the porn is orc rape, which is a shame since the scenario has so much more to offer. The entire sakura side felt wasted, they delayed it for the reveal, but that made it feel flat. It wouldve been a lot more fun to see sakura get raped alongside asagi much sooner. Even the body modification was poor, asagi and sakura are in some kind of coma when it happens. They couldve given it some impact by forcing asagi to watch while sakura was made lewder, but due the fact sakura her stuff was delayed that didn't work out. The endings provided a lot of different fetish content but the scenes were short, which is a shame since they were the most interesting. I was especially pissed off oboro getting rape payback was so short. Seeing her degraded to asagis level wouldve been great.

TA2 was a lot better. The body transformation was limited but at least asagi was conscious when her tits were modified. The scenes were a lot more diverse with the evil loli taimanin, horse cock, tentacle monster while also providing classic gangrape.

TA3 was a step back again making the first half of it soldier rape. Even the degradation of piercings barely worked since they were too far gone on cock to notice. The ending where they were told some other ninja spilled the beans also was a huge mistake. Why not have a scene where the other girl is brought in and raped silly while confessing everything inbetween moans? Wouldve been a golden scene. The asagi stuff was top notch, including the crotch tattoo from the soul sucking. But then asuka's route yet again has a lot of generic rape, little fetish fuel. Even when sakura receives the first nipple fuck the poor girl gets less attention than cubic murasaki.

Overal the series has loads of potential from its setup and some scenes really deliver the fetishes you never knew you had. And the balance between the rape and the extreme is too far to rape

Meanwhiel KS delivers on a lot more it promises. While it lacks the demonic medicine TA offers, it makes full use of the available material.

The corruption is a lot more well executed by giving the girls two personalities. In TA girls are constantly fucked into mindbreak and then the next scene they are headstrong again. In KS this makes sense, during daytime they are fine, during nighttime they are sluts. The daytime also provides an opportunity to showcase how their sluttiness slowly leaks into their pure selves. Also nice is that neither of them are virgins, I dont think newer BL games would do that as easily. The body modification also is worked into the larger story a lot better. Instead of being frontloaded and being the generic "im 10000 times as sensitive" they are specific and woven into the scenes afterwards. Seeing them turned on constantly just before you swoop in and fuck them into permanent evil sluts works out perfectly.

KS2 provides much of the same qualities that KS1 possessed. But the addition of lieri helping out is great. The only thing that was missing is her joining in when you fuck one of the girls. The fact that both characters are public figures allows for public humiliation and KS2 dives on the opportunity.

As KS1 was the thesis of experienced girls turning slutty, KS2 provided the antithesis by using inexperienced girls that had to be trained to be slutty. KS3 provides the synthesis by combining the experienced mother with an inexperienced daughter. This provides some great early scenes were mom teaches her lovely daughter how to handle dick. The body modification also works out again as it provides different fetishes for each girl.

While you might argue that KS is a lot of gangrape like TA. I would like to say that KS sets out to slowly turn girls lewd with sex and body modification, and they do so admirably. While TA seems to indicate that it wasnt to break girls with extreme sex, while mostly providing gangrape.

So we're comparing the VNs now, instead of the Murakami adaptations like OP asked?

Except the KS adaptation hardly focussed on the "differing personalities during day/night" which that anon was mostly praising. We almost exclusively see them brainwashed, with rare plot-related exceptions.

I'm not knocking anyone's tastes here, I actually like KS more as a franchise (academia better not suck), but most of what made the KS VNs good was replaced in the OVA by lots of gangbangs.

So I like the girls from Kangoku Senkan better than Taimanin Asagi (even though Sakura gives amazing head) but I find tentacles and demons to be more erotic than the majority of what Senkan offers, mostly the gangbang parts which aren't as cool as demon gangbangs. Wish the scenes where they were being mind broken in those chairs were longer and more involved as well as having longer solo scenes instead of the group sex that dominated the series.
