read the pastebin for recommended mods, they'll be near the top. Other than the widesliders mod there aren't really any super essential mods for the character maker, just ones that add more variety to clothing and accessory options, or a few different eye and makeup types. With or without mods the maker behaves the same, unless you got some really deep shit like bone modifiers and skintex mods.

As far as I know the character maker, UI, and studio are all translated. In game dialog and studio dialog trees are only partially and probably won't be fully until after the DLC.

Ah okay. If its for studio, once you go away from H-Animation, it essentially forgets what position you had before.
You need to remember what position you chose (say, Doggy Style). When you go IK etc etc and return, and you want to change to Fast Loop, you need to reselect Doggy Style, then Fast Loop.
